On the east end a snowdrift had developed, about 30 inches high and 100 feet long. When we got down there, the kids decided to invent a new game called Chase Through the Snowdrift. Off they went down the length of the drift, Silver in the lead. He used his strength to plow his way through running and jumping. Lola followed by porpoiseing (?) through the snow like Flipper, a smooth, rolling motion that had her dropping down in the drift and then leaping up in a short, curving leap and then back down into the drift. It was so beautiful to watch. When I caught up with them at the end. Silver had already taken off in pursuit of other dogs but she was standing there radiating joy and excitement. That run clicked something in her memory. </div> <div> Be happy you're in San Antonio. We dropped to -10 degrees last night with wind chill even lower. The wind was gusting so hard that at times our backyard disappeared into a mass of swirling white. We are supposed to warm up to slightly above zero today. I hope you remember sending me my precious Nikolai a few years ago. I remember you called him Sealy because his daddy is special forces in the us navy. :) I wanted to update you in our travels, we are moving to Japan this summer for a year and a half, it's been quite difficult going back and forth with the navy to bring my precious boy! But worth it to have his snuggles while his daddy is out so we are not alone. We have gone through all of the medical tests and certifications to go overseas but I was wondering if you know of anything to help make his long flight overseas as comfortable as possible? ...
